Despite what it may appear to mean, our name does not signify any particular rebellion against Ave Maria College.  Rather, we are loyal and dedicated students who decorate our websites with sketches of heavy and intelligently written books.  Our rebellion is against popular culture, with its heavy emphasis on uncoolness and attachedness.  The height of our rebellion is found in its very essence of coolness and detachedness in a certain clan, but also, while to a lesser degree, in the College.  Since we cannot all be members of this clan (since it is Canadian, whereas the majority of the Rebels are American), we can at least unite ourselves under the common ideal of perfect unconventional behavior, even going so far as to ally ourselves with a creed and culture.
